For individuals who are concerned with weapon consolidation and upkeep costs, Ruger has introduced the Precision Rifle. I am not a bolt gun guy, but I have to give props to the RPR due to its parts compatibility with AR15 rifles and AR15 gunsmithing tools.
The rifle uses AR15 style barrel nuts, can accept AR15 rails, and utilizes a plate designed to accept AR15 butt-stocks, though Ruger includes their own assembly. One last touch is the AR15 grip.
Parts commonality is a big deal to me. I want to use the same tools I purchased for one gun on every gun. This would fit that philosophy well. See it here.
