Accuracy Testing the Vintage Colt SP1 at Looserounds.com
Impressive groupings from a rifle older than me. Shawn at LooseRounds.com accuracy tested a SP1 and produced some eye opening groups. Moral of the story? Reloading is an essential art the Rifleman must master.
If you rely only on factory ammo, you are leaving allot of performance on the table.

I bought a ‘78 model judging by Colt’s serial (number) registry. I have NOT fired it…yet. The rifle is pristine with a great bore judging only with a bore light, no scope. The rifle is definately my FAV in my ‘collection’. I’ve toyed with the thought of firing it lately, only .223 rounds..nothing hot. And no, I’m not shooting reloads through it either and it’s not because I don’t trust MY reloads, I just ‘trust’ factory reloads more with this SP1
